Milton Senior Dulcimer Group (Milton, WI)
Meets the first and third Wednesdays each month from 9:45 – 11:15 am at The Gathering Place in Milton.
It is a mixture of beginner to intermediate dulcimer players learning together, challenging each other and just enjoy having fun playing together.
Strummin’ Strings
Meets the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays, and the 5th if there is one, online via Zoom.
There are 2 classes. The 9:45-10:45 is the introductory class moving a little slower and reviewing more of the basics than the 10:45-11:45 class. Many folks will take both classes. Both classes have decided they need to work with some specific tunes and there is an opening tune and closing tune. We’ve worked with the chords just using quarter notes, then add the rhythm and finally add the melody. Each method is worked on for two weeks for a total of 6 lessons before we change tunes. Between the tunes we learn basic theory to help understand the music. I do charge a nominal fee. You may contact me at ngarrett1@mac.com for further information.
